The Challenger Showdown runs Nov 5 to 7 inside Worlds week, with eight PPA Tour contracts for 2027 at stake. Singles pool play runs Thursday, doubles pool play Friday, and the semifinals and finals land Saturday. Each event has eight players or teams in two pools, top two advance.

Why it matters: This is the closest thing the sport has to a door from the rec world to the tour, and it runs inside the festival week. For a regular player, it is the most relatable stakes at Worlds. Everyone on that court was, not long ago, just trying to get in.
