The bankruptcy story has moved from filing to what happens at your club. NorthJersey reported on Oct 21 that the Fair Lawn club, 12 indoor courts in 32k square feet, opened March 2025, is expected to stay open while the parent reorganizes.
The wider numbers repeated this week: about 90 clubs, 9 company operated and 81 franchised, across 32 states, with 35k members and 196 corporate and headquarters staff. The company statement repeats a $4.5M franchisee led financing commitment subject to court approval. Sports Business Journal's $4.8M figure remains in circulation. That conflict is unresolved, so neither figure should be printed as settled until a court approves it.
Why it matters: This is the shakeout in miniature. The question rec players care about is not the filing. It is whether the doors stay open through winter, and in Fair Lawn the local answer so far is yes. Watch the same question club by club, because that is where this story will actually be decided.
